A hard 2006

I did the fun one first, it was easier! This year has been a hard one for Mike and I. In April we lost Grandma Goalden. Then in July we lost my step-Dad. I thought that was hard enough!! But, Monday, Dec. 11, 2006 my Mom calls and says that my Grandma Chrest, her Mom just passed away from a heart attack. It seems unbearable for my Mom! Losing her husband AND Mom 5 months apart! It was so sad making that 3rd family funeral in 8 months!!!! You realy know who your family and friends are - the ones that see you through!! The cards, phone calls and attending the funerals with you!! So - to all of our family and friends - thank you sooo much for being there! The meals, the call, the hugs! They have all touched us!!! Thank you soo much!

This is a pic of when we went up when she broke her arm. The little one is almost 4 now! LOL!! She was a wiggle worm!! :)

Basket Ball Fever

Kait is on a MAYB team and the last two weekends have been filled with ball!!! The 12/16 tournament, she played in 5 games. She was soo excited, she LOVES it! The A team got 3rd and she played in 2 of games. The B team got first and she played 3 games. The weekend before we were in Newton all day Sat. and Sun. Grandma and Grandpa Goalden have been avid bench fans the last 2 weekends! They are faithful followers!!! Yeah for G-ma & G-pa's!! My Dad - Papa Tom came too, to both tournaments, he loves watching the Grandbabies play games! Aunt Sheila and my best friend Connie all came to the Newton games! Kait has a GREAT following! We are on a break now, no ball until Jan. 2007.

Getting started!!

I am so excited about starting this blog! With the kids we have, there is LOTS to tell!! LOL!!
Jake & Cody are in 8th Grade, Kait is in 5th Grade. All are great kids! They are all looking forward to Christmas - which means a break from school! For Kait this is a sad thing, she would only take Christmas off and go back the next day! She is our diehard! The boys enjoy their time off. I think Jake more than Cody. Jake would switch it around - summer for 9 months and school for 3 months. (Or short if he could figure out how. HA!)
I will post more later.
Ta ta for now.....................
